BEST LOCAL CISCO CERTIFIED NETWORKING ACADEMY IN KENYA
IU won the “Best CISCO Academy in Kenya’ 2009 Award for the second year running. We are now ranked among the best performing academies in East and Central Africa. Member academies in the region include public and private universities and middle level colleges, drawn from Kenya, Uganda (e.g. Makerere University), Tanzania (e.g Dar-es-Salaam University), Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbambwe, Mauritius among others.
The Awards were presented during the annual CISCO conference. The granting of the award was attributed to IU’s: High student enrolment, High student performance in CISCO courses , Excellent IU management support.
ANOTHER FIRST IN EAST AFRICA (MOOTING SOCIETY)
The African Human Right Moot Court Competition is an annual event organized by the Center for Human Rights, based at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. It brings together law students and academics from more than half of Africa’s 120 law faculties to argue a hypothetical human rights case under the African charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights before benches of law lecturers and human rights experts in a mock court room. The Competition aims to prepare a new flexible learning, offers alternatives to formal education.
